**Job Title**: Legal Assistant

**About the Role**  
As a Legal Assistant at KPCA, you will play a crucial role in supporting our legal team to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with legal standards. Your contributions will directly enhance our ability to deliver exceptional legal services to our clients and improve overall case management outcomes.

**What You'll Do**  
- Assist in creating and organizing legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.  
- Manage case files, achieving a 25% reduction in retrieval time through effective organization and indexing.  
- Coordinate communication between clients and attorneys, enhancing client satisfaction scores by providing timely updates.  
- Conduct legal research and summarize findings, contributing to a 15% improvement in case preparation efficiency.  
- Prepare and file legal documents with courts and agencies, ensuring adherence to deadlines and procedural requirements.  
- Support trial preparation by gathering evidence and organizing materials, leading to a smoother trial process.  
- Monitor and track case progress, providing regular status reports to attorneys and stakeholders.

**Required Qualifications**  
- Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field.  
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role.  
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.  
- Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.  
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.  
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.

**Nice to Have**  
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.  
- Experience with case management software and document management systems.  
- Knowledge of specific areas of law, such as family law or corporate law.  
- Certification from a recognized paralegal organization (e.g., NALA, NFPA).
