Key Objectives
- Provide courteous and professional service to all customers at the post office counter.
- Process mail, packages, and financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain an organized and welcoming counter area to enhance the customer experience.
- Support overall post office operations by adhering to policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and assist with mailing, shipping, and retail inquiries.
- Weigh, price, and accept letters, parcels, and packages for mailing and shipping services.
- Handle money orders, postal savings, and other financial transactions with accuracy.
- Provide information on postal products, services, and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions and balance cash drawers at the end of shifts.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with security and safety policies in handling mail and money.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking of postal supplies and retail items.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous customer service experience preferred, ideally in a retail or postal environment.
- Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
