Job Description

We are currently looking for a Data Analyst.

What Moves You:

  • You care deeply about data being accurate, validated, and something stakeholders can genuinely rely on to make decisions with confidence.
  • You're the kind of person who sees a data discrepancy and can't let it go. You want to know where it came from, why it happened, and how to make sure it doesn't happen again.
  • You're early in your analytics career and hungry to grow fast. The idea of working with a modern stack including Snowflake, DBT, Python, and AWS excites you, and you're eager to learn from experienced team members who will invest in your development.
  • You find real satisfaction in turning messy, complex raw data into something clean, clear, and useful, and you take pride in the documentation and rigor that makes that work trustworthy and repeatable.
  • You're a natural collaborator who asks good questions, communicates openly, and understands that great analytics is always a team effort.

What You'll Do:

  • Write, maintain, and troubleshoot SQL queries that power data analysis, reconciliation, reporting datasets, and validation, building the reliable data foundation that the broader analytics team and business leaders depend on.
  • Validate data across source systems, data lake outputs, warehouse models, and business reports. Investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and communicate findings clearly to the team and stakeholders.
  • Support DBT transformations, data quality checks, testing, and documentation under the guidance of senior team members, while contributing to the company's ongoing migration toward Snowflake as the trusted analytics source.
  • Use Python to automate repeatable validation tasks, assist with data preparation, and support file processing and analytics pipeline activities.
  • Translate business questions into clear data requirements, analysis steps, and concise summaries, making complex findings accessible and actionable for both technical and non-technical audiences.

What You'll Bring:

  • A diploma or bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field, with 0 to 3 years of relevant experience — co-op, internship, or applied project experience is genuinely welcome here.
  • Strong foundational SQL skills, including the ability to join, filter, aggregate, troubleshoot, and validate data across multiple sources, alongside working knowledge of Python for data analysis and automation.
  • A foundational understanding of data quality concepts, reporting datasets, KPIs, and business definitions, with exposure to cloud data environments. Familiarity with AWS, Snowflake, or DBT is a meaningful asset.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate data issues, think through root causes, and recommend practical next steps.
  • Clear, professional communication skills and a proactive, accountable mindset.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive wages and flexible benefits.
  • Our company RRSP matching program.
  • 50% off rentals at any of our Driving Force locations.
  • Learning and growth opportunities.
  • Paid vacation and wellness time.
  • We support your wellbeing through our Thrive wellness program.
  • We 'Celebrate Great' through our rewards and recognition programs.
