Warehouse Associate

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and heavy equipment operation. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate various types of heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and cranes. Prior warehouse experience and familiarity with warehouse management systems like AS400 are highly valued. The Warehouse Associate plays a vital role in ensuring efficient inventory management and timely delivery of products.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers to load and unload materials
• Assist with order picking, packaging, and order fulfillment to ensure accurate shipment processing
• Support shipping & receiving activities by inspecting incoming and outgoing goods
• Maintain safety standards during heavy equipment operation and general warehouse activities
• Use warehouse management systems (such as AS400) to track inventory levels and update records
• Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while handling materials or products
• Support manufacturing or construction-related tasks as needed
• Ensure proper storage of goods and organize warehouse space efficiently
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Experience

• Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for all equipment operation including forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers
• Mechanical knowledge or experience with heavy equipment operation is advantageous
• Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes, shipping & receiving procedures, and inventory management systems such as AS400 or similar platforms is desirable
• Experience in manufacturing or construction environments is a plus
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for extended periods
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking and packaging tasks
