The Chincoteague Bay Field Station is seeking an individual with strong organizational and leadership skills to work with our University & Research (U&R) team during the summer. The Field Station offers 12 weeks of marine science-related college courses and is seeking a Summer Assistant to work in both field, office, and residential settings. In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining field station aquaria, leading kayaking and boat trips for college classes, and completing various other physical and administrative tasks to meet program goals. The Summer Assistant position also shares the responsibility with the U&R Interns of overseeing the college community in residential aspects. Position Overview: The Youth Program Coordinator (YPC) staff position is responsible for supporting all Montana Conservation Corps (MCC) youth program activities from office and field locations. Primary duties include the daily management of the youth program, coordinating logistics, school visits and recruitment events, and leading training during the Leadership Development Program (LDP). This position will split time between administrative, logistical and field support duties, including training Youth Program Leaders, coordinating with project partners and then shifting to field-based support in the summer months.
