Position Overview Based out of Bozeman or Kalispell, the Youth Program Coordinator (YPC) is a seasonal, 8-month position supporting MCC’s Youth Program. Reporting to the Youth Program Manager, the role balances administrative systems, logistical preparation, and direct field support. During the winter and spring, the YPC manages youth admissions, conducts school and youth outreach, organizes gear caches, and helps lead the 5-week Youth Program Leader training. As the summer field season peaks, the position transitions into an active logistical and mentoring resource—tracking participant data, supporting AmeriCorps Youth Leaders and youth participants, and maintaining clear communication across MCC offices, project partners, and crews. The Field Coordinator (FC) staff position is responsible for the regional coordination and logistical support of all Montana Conservation Corps (MCC) field-based activities. Primary duties include direct support and training of Crew Leaders and Crew Members for adult, youth and specialty programs, with emphasis on the development and delivery of technical skills training, technical and logistical coordination for MCC crews in the field, as well as shared monitoring and implementation of MCC’s leadership development program and administrative components. Activities will include teaching and modeling fundamental skills to participants, field visitation to help ensure the successful and safe completion of MCC projects, and ensuring compliance with MCC policies and procedures.
