NEIWPCC is seeking a full-time Environmental Analyst to serve as a Permit Writer. The goal of this position is to protect human and environmental health by developing permits that control the discharge of pollutants to surface water and groundwater. Permit writing is complex and involves analysis and sound judgement. This is a great opportunity to learn about environmental compliance while helping to protect water throughout the state.  What You’ll Do As a NEIWPCC Environmental Analyst, you will become an essential member of the Drinking Water Source Protection Program (DWSP2). You will: Work with permittees, their representatives, engineers and various members of the public on municipal and industrial wastewater State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) permits within Source Water Protection areas to ensure permits are up to date and address new and evolving challenges to protect public water supplies.
