Position Title: Historic Trail Preservation Fellow
Location: Negotiable. Must be in proximity to the Santa Fe National Historic Trail (Missouri , Kansas , Colorado , Oklahoma , or New Mexico)
Missouri: Kansas City, Independence, Lexington, Franklin (historical eastern terminus).
Kansas: Olathe, Topeka, Council Grove, Great Bend, Dodge City, Garden City.
Colorado: La Junta, Las Animas, Trinidad.
Oklahoma: Boise City.
New Mexico: Raton, Las Vegas, Pecos, Santa Fe.
The majority of work for this position will be conducted remotely with scheduled in-person meetings occurring periodically. Extensive travel will be required along the Santa Fe National Historic Trail and within the five trail states of MO, KS, OK, NM and CO.
Status: Full Time, Temporary, Exempt
Duration: 1 Year Fellowship from Oct. 1, 2026 - Sept. 30, 2027
