Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc., a Davey company, is seeking a full-time Environmental Compliance Technician to join our Raleigh, North Carolina team. Projects include providing environmental compliance services associated with construction of residential developments, industrial complexes, utility, and transportation development.
• Environmental compliance inspections and reporting
• Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) development and auditing
• Coordinating with federal and state resource agencies with regard to wetlands, erosion and sediment control and stormwater compliance
• Best Management Practices (BMP) construction monitoring
Minimum Requirements
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies or related field (experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
• Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines under limited supervision
• Outstanding communication skills
• Experience working with a diverse client base in both the public and private sectors
• Willingness to regularly travel regionally
Preferred Qualifications
• At least 1 year of experience performing environmental compliance in relation to National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) inspections and reporting
• North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) Erosion and Sediment Control/Stormwater certificates
• Experience working on energy generation and transmission projects.
