Position Overview

Starting Date:
Flexible - We are currently looking for Internship candidates for Spring/Summer, 2024.

Objectives:

Introduce career orientated students to exceptional opportunities in the industry including landscape maintenance, install, hardscape and design, along with experiencing plant health care. Internships in each division may vary in length depending on availability. Interns will be assigned a manager who will mentor them through a variety of job experiences within the industry. Throughout your experience, you will work on commercial and residential properties and in an office setting.

Job Duties

What You’ll Do: 

  • Grow your green career with us! 
  • Enhance the appearance and value of properties through the cultivation of shrubs and trees. 
  • Plant, spray, weed, fertilize, and water plants, shrubs, and trees. 
  • Perform proper pruning to prevent girdling roots and promote a central leader on trees. 
  • Transplant seedlings, cuttings, trees, and shrubs. 
  • Maintain and repair irrigation and climate control systems. 
  • Drive, use, maintain and properly operate landscape equipment. 

Qualifications

  • Studying Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Horticulture, Landscape Design, Forestry or related discipline in a 2 or 4 year program
  • Driver’s license required. Commercial driver’s license highly valuable    
  • Pesticide/applicators License preferred

Hours: 40-50 hours per week, Monday-Friday with some Saturdays required.
