  Keeping Washington Clean and Evergreen The Department of Ecology is hiring a  Deschutes Estuary Restoration Project Planner (Environmental Planner 4 )   within the Southwest Region Office. This is a 12-month project position with the possibility of extension based on available funding and performance.    Location: Southwest Region Office in  Lacey, WA . Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station.   Schedule: This position is eligible for telework and flexible schedule options. The Fellow, Community Engagement will work closely with Kenneth Turner, Program Director, Community Engagement, Chesapeake and other members of staff to advance the Foundation’s Community Engagement Program, which was created in 2024. Primary tasks range from exploring prospective grantee organizations to the review, analysis, and presentation of funding requests. The Fellow will actively engage with community stakeholders (e.g., nonprofit leaders, community residents, teachers) and funding partners, in consultation with the Program Director, Community Engagement, to manage, shape, and continually update the Community Engagement grants portfolio.
