Riverkeeper's mission is to safeguard the ecological integrity of the Hudson River, its tributaries and the watershed of New York City (protecting the city's drinking water supply) by tracking down and stopping polluters. Since 1983, Riverkeeper has investigated and brought to justice thousands of environmental lawbreakers.
Riverkeeper pays 80 percent of medical, 100 percent dental, life and disability insurance premiums for its employees and 50 percent of medical for employees' dependents. In addition, Riverkeeper offers 15 days of vacation, 10 personal/sick days, 11 holidays and a paid company's week off between Christmas and New Year. Shorter days are available on Fridays during the summer. Riverkeeper supports work-family balance and offers flexible working arrangements.
