Job Description and Duties Under the direction of the Chief, Environmental Assessment Branch, the incumbent is responsible for formulating policies, overseeing and managing projects in the Environmental Assessment Branch, Regulatory Compliance Section (RCS), serve as the Section lead managing a team of Environmental Scientists to complete environmental review for complex regulatory projects to maintain and operate the State Water Project (SWP), and ensure compliance with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) requirements.   Work requires incumbent to be capable of analyzing situations and taking appropriate actions and making technically, scientifically, and administratively sound decisions relative to the interpretation and implementation of regulations, policies, and directives.
