Founded in 1990, TreeNM is a small non-profit organization (with over $1.5 million in revenue and expenses) dedicated to Urban and Community Forestry. Our mission0driven work is central to mitigating the effects of climate change, improving air and water quality, and enhancing the overall quality of life for all New Mexico residents. We function as a ground-up organization where our work is powered by volunteer engagement.
We don't just plant trees, we build partnerships with neighborhoods, schools, and local groups, ensuring our programs are collaborative, impactful, and directly responsive to local needs. Our highly successful tree planting and tree education programs in Albuquerque and across the state are a direct result of this approach. We are proud to be part of a collaborative alliance of agencies and individuals passionately united by the critical role trees play in our shared future.
