Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled ESG Specialist to lead and support sustainability initiatives, ESG reporting, and Scope 3 decarbonization system design. This role will involve contributing to our core product development, enabling strategic decision-making, and representing Greenstitch in technical discussions with industry and regulatory stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. ESG Reporting & Benchmarking:
    • Prepare ESG reports aligned with 2-3 major reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, CDP, SASB, TCFD).
    • Analyze and benchmark ESG data to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
    • Work with internal teams to collect, validate, and standardize ESG-related data.
  2. GHG Accounting & Life Cycle Assessment (LCA):
    • Apply basic knowledge of GHG Protocol standards (Scope 1, 2, and 3) to assess emissions data.
    • Collaborate on LCA projects to evaluate environmental impacts across the supply chain.
  3. Decarbonization Systems Design:
    • Design and optimize systems for Scope 3 emissions reduction strategies.
    • Develop tools for Marginal Abatement Cost Curve (MACC) analysis to prioritize cost-effective carbon reduction measures.
  4. Climate Risk & Data Analysis:
    • Use analytical skills to conduct climate risk modelling and scenario analysis for supply chain and operations.
    • Benchmark sustainability performance data against industry standards and competitors.
  5. Regulatory Knowledge & Advocacy:
    • Stay informed about foreign sustainability regulations (e.g., ESPR, Ecodesign Directive, PEF) and recommend system improvements.
    • Represent Greenstitch in technical ESG consultations and meetings, contributing to policy discussions.
  6. Collaboration & Innovation:
    • Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and leadership teams to integrate ESG principles into the business and product roadmap.
    • Innovate and suggest tools or processes to streamline sustainability-related data and reporting systems.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  1. Experience:
    • 2-5 years of experience in ESG reporting, sustainability analysis, or climate-tech roles.
    • Proven experience with 2-3 ESG frameworks such as GRI, CDP, SASB, or TCFD.
  2. Technical Knowledge:
    • Basic understanding of GHG Accounting (Scope 1, 2, and 3) and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodologies.
    • Strong analytical skills for data collection, benchmarking, and interpretation.
    • Familiarity with designing systems for Marginal Abatement Cost Curve (MACC) analysis.
  3. Data & Communication Skills:
    • Advanced data analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel, PowerBI, or similar tools.
    • Strong ability to present findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  4. Soft Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
    • Collaborative mindset with excellent stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Climate Studies, or a related field.
  • Certification in ESG reporting, GHG accounting (e.g., GHG Protocol), or LCA tools.
  • Familiarity with ESG-related software or climate-tech tools.
