Location: Northwest Region Responsibilities : This position is overall responsible for achieving the project objectives as outlined by the client and CAPE. Managing a project is similar to running a business and includes working safely, satisfying stakeholders, delivering quality, and returning budgeted profits. This position is responsible for the execution of industrial remediation projects and will be responsible for managing and/or overseeing projects to include: client relations, labor relations, security, budgets, cost control, schedules, financial forecasting subcontractors, changes, technical/contractual compliance, QA/QC, safety, staffing resources, invoicing, etc.; provide input into and review all project plans; coordinate and monitor project performance in accordance with approved work plans, budgets and schedules; accurately forecast and schedule revenues and resource needs. The project manager will take necessary actions to: maintain required performance, meet budgets and schedules, and ensure that required health and safety protocols are strictly followed. This position may also be required to support business development efforts, as needed. Experience : 5 years of project management experience in the areas previously discussed. Environmental media include soil and groundwater, both in situ and ex situ approaches. Experience with different remediation techniques - soil mixing; treatment system installation (AS, SVE, P&T, etc.); dredging; etc. is critical to success. Additional relevant experience includes working adjacent to water bodies; sheeting / shoring / bracing; concrete; sewers; waterlines; paving, etc. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing both construction and environmental remediation projects in construction management and self-performance scenarios. Experience managing projects in the $5 - $15M plus that are complex (i.e.,  multiple stakeholders;  clients, regulators, other contractors, owners, etc.) is important. Expertise in key project management knowledge areas: scheduling / planning, estimating, procurement, subcontractor management, burn rates, contracting mechanisms (FFP, T&M / CR, FUP) and their application, and forecasting. Forecasting skills will include experience with Earned Value Management (EVM), productivity metrics, and schedules (MS project and Primavera). Education Requirements : BA or BS in engineering (environmental, civil, etc.), geology or technical field related to construction preferred. High School Diploma or GED and formal training in Construction Management plus five (5) years field experience in Construction in lieu of a BA or BS degree required. 30 Hour OSHA Construction Safety & Health training or equivalent, and 40 Hour HAZWOPER training and annual refreshers desired. Professional certification in technical discipline and Project Management desired. PMP desired. Other Requirements : Physical ability to oversee project activities as related to the position, including travel to project sites and have the ability to use safety and respiratory protection equipment as required.
