Nestled in the foothills of the North Cascades, Waskowitz Outdoor Education Center provides students in Highline and other school districts in the greater Seattle area with a variety of programs that focus on connecting with nature and personal growth.

Fourth-grade students who attend our Living History program experience what life was like in Washington State in the 1800’s.

Fifth- and sixth-grade students explore the forest, Snoqualmie river and community living in our longstanding residential Outdoor School program that has been engaging students in science and environmental education since 1947.

Outdoor School partners with WELS and OWL programs to provide leadership opportunities for high school students.

In addition, ROOTS programs include Literature Camp, Freshman Success and team building opportunities.

Our year-round facility provides services to many rental groups in support of their mission.
