Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for an Environmental, Health &Safety Engineer 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA. This position will be part of the site Environmental, Safety, Health & Medical Department and will specialize in chemical safety management and environmental regulatory compliance by supporting programs such as; Computerized Chemical Tracking System (CTS), Hazardous Materials Business Plans (HMBP) for Los Angeles and Kern Counties, Data collection and submission into California Environmental Reporting System (CERS), EPA Title V and local Air Quality Management District (AQMD) regulations and permits. Will interface with manufacturing, facilities and flight test organizations to advise management, train workers and will audit operations and inspect equipment to ensure regulatory compliance as well as compliance with company policies and procedures.  Interfaces frequently with regulating agency representatives.  Contributes to the development of site and sector environmental policies, and procedures.  May need to support other environmental programs on site as needed.   Qualifications   Basic Qualifications:   Bachelors in Science degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and 5 years experience in environmental programs, chemical safety management or regulatory compliance.  Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.  Preferred Qualifications: BS in Environmental Science Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
