Reading & Math, Inc. is a national nonprofit that replicates evidence-based AmeriCorps programs: Reading Corps, Math Corps, Minnesota Opportunity Corps and Minnesota Recovery Corps. These programs combine the power of national service with instructional science to help struggling students transform into confident learners and help adults achieve economic stability or guide individuals who are trying to sustain their own recovery from substance use disorders. Reading & Math, Inc. administers the expansion and replication of Reading Corps in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Florida and California. Also, administers the expansion and replication of Reading Corps in Minnesota and Georgia and provides technical assistance to other states interested in scaling these programs to help more children achieve grade-level reading and math proficiency. Opportunity Corps members support economically-disadvantaged adults in accessing resources and building the skills needed to navigate employment and/or education to achieve economic stability. Recovery Corps Navigators are not a sponsor or counselor, but a trained peer who understands the journey of recovery.
