Focused on creating lasting community benefit, our connected global network of 8500 people delivers projects with high standards of safety, quality and ethics.   Committed to sustainable development, GHD improves the physical, natural and social environments of the many communities in which we operate.   Our office in   Indianapolis, IN   is currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated   Environmental Compliance Specialist   to support our growing team.This person will provide consulting services for a wide range of environmental compliance projects for various industrial clients.   The successful candidate will:   Complete environmental compliance projects for various GHD project managers and for various industrial clients Prepare permit application packages (i.e., air, stormwater, wastewater, etc.) and interact with regulatory agencies to obtain flexible permits for clients Prepare air compliance reports and associated recordkeeping Prepare Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMRs) and associated recordkeeping Conduct Emergency Planning Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) reporting evaluations and prepare associated reporting forms (i.e., Form R, Tier II, etc.) Develop and update Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans Develop and update Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs) Conduct and/or coordinate Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments Complete regulatory applicability determinations associated with local, state, and federal environmental regulatory requirements Comprehend and interpret environmental regulations Communicate effectively with supervisor, project managers, clients, and regulators  The ideal candidate will have:   B.S. degree in Environmental Science or a related field 0 to 5 years of environmental consulting experience Knowledge of environmental regulatory requirements for industrial facilities in Midwestern states Excellent technical writing skills Excellent organizational skills Willingness to travel Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Effective communicator OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training (Not required)  As a multicultural organization, we encourage individual achievement and recognize the strength of a diverse workforce.
