The Columbia office of Schnabel Engineering is seeking a full time experienced Senior Geologist/Environmental Engineer to join our Environmental Services department.  Responsibilities include proposal and qualification submittals, cost estimating, data analysis, project management, technical report writing, client relationship management, business development, and limited field work. Projects include, but are not limited to, environmental assessments/investigations, soil and groundwater remediation, regulatory compliance including planning and permitting, hazardous building materials investigations, client due diligence (Phase I/II ESAs), NEPA assessments, water supply, wetlands delineation/mitigation and risk assessments.  Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Environmental Engineering and a minimum of 8-10 years of demonstrated environmental geology or environmental engineering experience. Professional registration as a P.G. or P.E. in South Carolina and/or North Carolina is required.  Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the State and U.S. environmental regulatory framework is a must.  Professional certifications such as CHMM, CESCP or CPSWQ are highly desirable, but not required.  Candidates must be highly motivated and team-oriented, must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and must want to advance in their career.  Limited travel is required.
