Job Summary Top Three Skills: Report Writing skills Knowledge of Part 213 regulations MDEQ standards knowledge  Job Description : Will be responsible for the drafting of regulatory reports required under Part 201 and 213 of the MDEQ (Michigan Department of Environmental Quality), including exposure pathway analysis. Part 213 is a big one that they will focus on, which is a regulation dealing with leaking underground storage tanks. Their biggest account is Shell, so will be working with their Gas stations most of time. This person will be in the DCS (Design and Consulting Services group), under the Environmental Department. This person will perform data reduction, review, and interpretation, will do drafting of figures using AutoCAD, will review the junior level reports and field notes to ensure compliance. Will develop site specific SHE (Safety, Health, and Environmental) plans. Will perform sampling of soil, groundwater, surface water, and soil gas when needed. Will do installation of groundwater monitoring wells and vapor monitoring points. Will oversee subcontractors when necessary. Will calibrate field instrumentation and documentation. Will complete lithologic descriptions of soils from drilling activities. Will do field preservation of samples in preparation for lab analysis. Will include about 50-75% office work, sitting in their Southfield corporate center. The other time will be spent in the field, mainly local travel to Shell gas stations to perform field work.  Work Environment : Office environment with potential to work in the field on occasion. core hours are 8-4. Key Responsibilities Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times. Develop plans and coordinate activities that ensure InSite Program compliance with Federal, State, and local environmental regulations at Program locations. Establish baseline audit protocol for all new programs; Communicate and document scope of compliance parameters for each Program location. Establish framework for and perform periodic environmental compliance reviews for existing contract locations, using applicable location inspection checklist and other appropriate audit checklists to ensure location compliance with all regulations, permits, and company policies and procedures, including DOT compliance where applicable under contract scope Provide value-add feedback to customer management staff on environmental compliance observations made while conducting periodic operational reviews, and written documentation of audit results and corrective action plans.
