Coordinate, prepare, and review regulatory submissions and act as a liaison with environmental regulators and inspectors. In February of 2019 CenterPoint Energy completed an acquisition which added nearly 7,000 employees. Now you’ll have the opportunity to work with a dynamic regulatory compliance team to support our $27 billion-dollar company which has a footprint in 40 states.   Specifically, you’ll have the opportunity to: Assist in environmental due diligence, regulatory reporting compliance, licensing and permitting, and new permitting activities for the development of new and or additions to existing facilities. Supports analyses of the environmental risks, benefits, and potential compliance costs of new project development. Monitors, maintains, and applies a working knowledge of federal, state and local environmental regulations. Compiles and submits monthly, quarterly and annual compliance and certification reports. Develops and implements internal environmental protocols to ensure compliance during project planning, construction and ongoing operation at various facilities.  Develops environmental regulatory training programs and executes periodic training for appropriate operating groups. Prepares various technical material and reports required by various federal, state and local regulatory agencies, public interest groups and consultants. Serves as a liaison with environmental regulators and inspectors during inspections and permitting discussions at company facilities.  Works effectively with other Company departments to understand facility processes, and to communicate impact of permits and pending regulations at company facilities.     Basic Qualifications    Bachelor’s degree in Physical or Life Sciences, or Geology or related field required. Will consider relevant job-related CenterPoint Energy experience for non-degree candidates Minimum of 3 years of experience and/or training in an environmental or regulatory compliance related field Preferred NPDES Permitting Construction Stormwater Permitting Stack Testing This position located in the Evansville, IN area.
