Southern California Regional Rail Authority

The Southern California Regional Rail Authority (SCRRA) is the joint powers authority that operates Metrolink. Metrolink was formed in 1991 and includes the 5 county agencies - Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro), Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA), Riverside County Transportation Commission (RCTC), San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA), and Ventura County Transportation Commission (VCTC).

SCRRA is responsible for reducing highway congestion and improving mobility throughout Southern California. Metrolink has grown tremendously during our more than 20 years in service with a dedicated staff of approximately 275 full-time employees and over 800 contract staff. Metrolink has expanded to 7 service lines, 59 stations and 43,000 daily boardings, all over 534 route miles and is one of the fastest growing commuter rail systems in the country.
