About the Natural Resources Council of Maine

Started in 1959, the Natural Resources Council of Maine is the state’s leading environmental advocacy organization. NRCM has a strong legacy of accomplishments across a broad range of policy areas, including river restoration, protecting Maine’s North Woods, clean energy and climate advocacy, addressing plastic pollution, and much more. NRCM works statewide to improve the quality of Maine’s environment, working in coalition with other non-profit organizations, business and community leaders, elected officials, NRCM members, and the public at-large.  Over the past 60 years, NRCM has led efforts to keep Maine a special place.

The Natural Resources Council of Maine (NRCM) is seeking an outreach coordinator to help promote bold climate action in Maine. This is an exciting opportunity to work with leading advocates, experts, and people across Maine to build momentum for policies that boost energy efficiency, expand renewable energy sources, invest in clean transportation systems, and help Maine communities become more resilient to the impacts of climate change. Working in coalitions with prominent local and national organizations, the outreach coordinator will help build support for legislation that reduces Maine’s greenhouse gas emissions by mobilizing NRCM supporters, businesses leaders, and others statewide.
