Position Summary PG&E currently has an opening for a summer internship in Fresno for a Land Planning Analyst in the Environmental Management-Electric Transmission.  This position will also support the Gas Transmission team and the Power Generation team within Environmental Management. The Land Planning Analyst position supports programs of environmental compliance and project permitting where environmental guidelines are established between PG&E and various state and federal agencies.  The primary role is one of project screening, environmental permitting support and documentation.  Project screening utilizes PG&E computerized information management systems (MapGuide GIS, HCP Portals, SAP) and other standard office communication formats (e-mail, teleconferencing).  Program/Project screening and documentation may include daily data entries and assessment of standard permitting requirements.  Program data will support development of programmatic reports and audits.   Project screening determines project permitting requirements. Communicating with other Land team members and Line of Business (LOB) project teams verbally and in writing is another key requirement of this job.  Location of this internship is in Fresno, CA.  Job responsibilities include :  Safety Performs all work in accordance with PG&E safety goals and practices: completes all required safety training and promotes safety awareness  Project Screening and Documentation/Research & Review Reviews new projects received through the various portals and SAP. Position Summary This position will support the Distributed Generation team particularly with customer experience efforts and storage initiatives to benchmark, research, and translate research into customer-facing useful information as well as assisting with the longer term education plan. The position may also be involved in process improvement, quality control and other special projects.  Responsibilities Clean Energy Programs is looking for a talented intern to help support the DG customer experience team and provide insights that help us deliver optimal customer experience with our programs. Conduct research to prepare for improvements on the NEM plus storage bill presentment, including benchmarking across utilities. Conduct research on storage calculator options, including benchmarking across the storage industry for best practices and determine what assumptions the calculator should include. Additionally, find related research to inform our understanding of what customers are hoping to gain from a storage tool. Help PG&E set up research with customer insights team to assess an optimal storage calculator and bill experience. Lead benchmark research to compare utilities/comparable companies and how they value customer satisfaction when making business decisions. Currently, there isn’t a company-wide approach to putting financial value on efforts to improve customer satisfaction that helps determine which work should be done.  The intern will form a proposal on how to value customer satisfaction.
