The San Diego County Office of Education serves our county’s most vulnerable students, and supports school leaders, teachers, and students across the county. The organization support nearly 780schools and more than 500,000 students, including the nearly 10,000 children we educate each year through our Juvenile Court and Community Schools. SDCOE provides a variety of services for the 42 school districts, 124 charter schools, and five community college districts in the county.

The San Diego County Office of Education was created in 1948 to support schools throughout the county with business, curricular, and other services. SDCOE staff provide services through 9 areas including Business, Equity, Innovation, Human Resources, Integrated Technology, Juvenile Court and Community Schools, Learning & Leadership, Professional Learning & Support, and Student Services & Programs.
