The successful candidate should have 5+ years of experience with Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, and other hazardous waste site investigations commensurate with years of experience. Education :  Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field. Certification :  Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER training required. Other certifications and registrations a plus. Required Skills :  Experience in environmental-related areas that may include various field tasks comprised of site reconnaissance, soil and groundwater sampling, borehole logging, well installation, air monitoring, coordination and oversight of subcontractors, and preparation of daily field reports; and various office tasks comprised of data compilation, review and assimilation of historic information and environmental databases, assisting with report preparation and other project documents, phone/email contact/coordination with subcontractors/vendors, phone/email contact related to interviews and discussions with site owner/users, and management of tasks and task budgets. Job Description :  Ninyo & Moore has an immediate opening for a Senior Project Environmental Geologist in Irvine, CA. The successful candidate will prepare and manage Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, Initial Site Assessments (Caltrans), Hazardous Materials Assessments (CEQA/NEPA), Preliminary Endangerment Assessments (PEAs), Conceptual site models, and Risk Assessments. Responsibilities will include meeting and interacting with the clients and regulatory agencies, managing project budgets and schedules and performing some business development activities with select clients. The candidate will also coordinate and participate in field activities, including drilling supervision, logging of borings, test pits, trenches and cores; evaluating geologic and hydrogeologic conditions; and sampling soil, soil gas, and groundwater; and will prepare environmental proposals and reports. Education :  B.S./M.S. in Geology. Required Skills :  The successful candidate should be a licensed professional geologist with 10+ years of experience in environmental consulting. The ideal candidate will bring local experience and familiarity with the local geologic practice and a strong knowledge of local, state and federal regulations. Job Description :   Ninyo & Moore has an immediate opening on our northern California offices for a Staff- or Project-level DOSH-certified Site Surveillance Technician and DPH-certified lead-related construction services inspector/Assessor. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a Certified Asbestos Consultant/Industrial Hygienist or Certified Industrial Hygienist. Duties include conducting asbestos and lead based paint surveys and assessments, preparing haz mat Survey reports, preparing abatement specifications and operations and maintenance plans, and providing abatement monitoring/oversight/clearance sampling. Education :   Associate's degree or equivalent preferred; however, proven experience may be considered in lieu of Associate's degree. Required Skills :   This position requires the appropriate California certifications and experience performing and overseeing asbestos, lead-based paint, microbiological and hazardous building-material surveys and abatement oversight/monitoring. Appropriate certifications include some or all of the following: Certified Asbestos Consultant, Site Surveillance Technician, and Lead Inspector/Assessor/Project Monitor. Individuals with California asbestos and lead experience and certifications are preferred. Experience with other environmental work such as subsurface soil and groundwater investigations is a plus, but is not required. The candidate should have a minimum of three years' experience conducting and/or managing relevant projects, possess computer skills (e.g., Word & Excel), have excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and flexibility with work schedule.
