ECC ( - check us out!), through a series of Joint Ventures, has completed or is in the process of executing several large environmental remediation projects in various parts across Eastern Canada.  We are now looking for experience professionals between 5 and 10 years of experience to join our operational team in completing these multi-year programs and to help build a future office in Canada.  The position will be in Nova Scotia with potential for occasional travel elsewhere in Canada and the United States.  This position will primarily be responsible for assisting in the management of project activities to ensure that the goals of the project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.  In this position you will: Assist Project Manager in the planning and coordination of activities designated to ensure that goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters Review project proposals or plans to determine time frames, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project Establish work plans and staffing for each phase of project, and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel Confer with project staff and subcontractors to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required Prepare project reports for management, client, or others Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems Coordinate project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies Manage supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws Perform weekly and monthly schedule updates and develop as-built schedule Coordinate and prepare 3-week look-ahead schedules or as required by contract Coordinate with Project Manager to document physical percent complete Preparation of required reports for Client invoices Coordinate and update with Project Accountant on Monthly PSRs preparation Review of subcontractor invoices prior to PM approval and submit to Project Accountant for payment processing.
