Job Description: As Senior Counsel for Governmental and Regulatory Affairs, you will provide legal advice and services to all levels of executive management as it relates to compliance with various governmental/regulatory requirements.  You will manage the Company’s relationships with legislators and regulatory commissions/authorities.  You will also be responsible for the development, implementation, and enforcement of the Company’s regulatory affairs/compliance program in accordance with applicable law, and provides training and consults on an ongoing basis with executives with regard to governmental, regulatory and compliance matters.     Job Responsibilities:   Advises and supports the business and executive management on legal strategies involving product and facilities related regulatory affairs/compliance as well as anti-bribery/anti-corruption (ABAC) and sanctions matters Responsible for governmental affairs on behalf of the Company and, in connection therewith, liaises directly with the Company’s CEO and its outside lobbying firm Oversees the Company’s interaction with regulatory agencies such as EPA, the California Air Resources Board and the Consumer Product Safety Commission Oversees the Company’s compliance with all government regulations, including required licensing, certifications, training and reporting to outside agencies related to environmental, product compliance, ABAC, sanctions and other assigned legal areas. Manages the engagement and oversight of outside counsel and other advisers to support the Company’s governmental affairs and compliance efforts Assesses and continuously improves the effectiveness of the Company’s compliance program to ensure business and applicable legal needs are being met Oversees the development and execution of relevant training to employees and executives Acts as legal representative to Corporate Development regarding governmental and regulatory due diligence, documentation and integration activities Represents the Company on industry trade associations and regulatory initiatives Advises stakeholders in the areas of good manufacturing practices, inspections and recalls, and quality system regulation Provides strategic advice on regulatory matters and compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards Performs full range of managerial responsibilities, including coaching and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; performance management; and budgeting for assigned areas Performs other duties as assigned  Job Skills Requirements:   Demonstrates ability to provide prompt, practical counsel and creative solutions in all areas while minimizing risk Demonstrates excellent judgment, professional demeanor, business acumen, strategic thinking capabilities, leadership skills and executive presence Recognizes and analyzes dynamic trends and reacts positively to changing needs and demands Collaborates with and leads project efforts with legal and business colleagues in a global organization Initiates, embraces and drives change in a dynamic environment Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Detail-oriented, organized, responsive to client needs Proven capability to balance a variety of high priority projects simultaneously Solid computer skills Works well independently and on a team Possesses excellent analytical and drafting skills Inspires, educates, and empowers others Educational Requirements: Juris Doctor from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association Experience Requirements:   Minimum of ten years of experience in field required Minimum of five years of management experience in domestic and international organizations preferred Certifications: Admitted to practice law in the State of Wisconsin or another state Physical & Environmental Requirements: Position requires some travel Remember to say you found this opportunity at
