Bay Area Open Space Council

The Bay Area Open Space Council (the Council) is a unique regional coalition of 65 nonprofits and public agencies working to conserve and steward parks and open space, and protect farmland in the 10 counties across the San Francisco Bay Area. Founded in 1990, the Council has a proven track record and a deep history of partnership throughout the region. We work collaboratively to: protect important natural areas and green spaces; connect people to outdoor recreation, parks and open spaces; engage citizens in support of parks, protected lands and agricultural areas; and convene our members, partners and regional leaders. We love the work that we do and spend as much time outside as we can.
