General Summary The School of Biological Sciences at Illinois State University in Normal, IL (www.bio.illinoisstate.edu) invites applications for a 9-month tenure-track position in ECOLOGY at the level of Assistant Professor. We seek candidates who employ theoretical and/or empirical approaches in the laboratory or field at any level of organization: organismal, population, community, or ecosystem.  Successful candidates will be expected to establish a rigorous, nationally recognized, extramurally funded research program. The new faculty member will participate in courses related to ecology at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, and mentor B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. students.    Required Qualifications 1. A Ph.D. in Ecology or related field and post-doctoral experience are required.  2. State law mandates demonstrable oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for teaching positions.    Desired Qualifications : 1.
