CCE is dedicated to informing and mobilizing people to protect the quality of our lives, our health, and the environment here in New York. We believe that people have a right to know and a right to act on issues that fundamentally affect our lives and future. We believe grassroots organizing is the best way to affect positive change. Our job is to communicate with people in such a way that motivates them to get involved.
What would you be doing?
Working with neighborhoods and communities to organize and increase public awareness of local, state and national environmental issues. The focus of our work is to:
• Mobilize public support to strengthen and enforce environmental laws
• Ensure, through grassroots organizing, that community members are aware of environmental issues affecting them directly
• Implement political actions to protect people and natural areas
What are the hours and schedule for the work?
Hours are Monday through Friday 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Extensive training is provided .
Part-time positions available for students (3 days per week).
Students can choose the days they work for part-time.
Salary is $400-515/week for full time.

We are currently working to ban plastic microbeads from personal care products state wide. These tiny plastic particles in our soap and toothpaste are polluting lakes, rivers and oceans, contaminating fish and even becoming a public health issue. Continuing the work we have done for years, educating the public and ensuring health and environmental safety for New York, CCE is calling for a statewide BAN on Microbeads!
Hours for the position are 2:00-10:30pm, Monday- Friday! Enjoy Weekends Off!
