Ecology and Environment, Inc. is seeking an experienced, results-driven Marketing Director.  This position is responsible for directing, developing, implementing, and facilitating marketing strategies, activities, and policies for the company.  The position requires entrepreneurial and dynamic business acumen, continually seeking and seizing opportunities to accelerate top-line growth, optimize risk-reward, and maximize sustainable growth in shareholder value.  The successful candidate will be progressive and imaginative regarding growth initiatives, while articulating and instilling a forward-looking strategy to understand client needs, influence client perceptions, and identify how E&E can capitalize on this in order to positively affect sales and revenue generation activities. This is a national position that can work from any of the company’s domestic office locations.    Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for the development of clear and compelling marketing plans supported by a strong business case, and strategic marketing programs to support successful sales and key company lines of business.  Works with Sales Directors, Managing Directors, President, and Business Operations Director to develop pricing strategies, balance company objectives and client satisfaction, identify the right product/service mix, and what needs to be communicated to target customers to ensure successful sales. Proactively and effectively positions, reinforces, and differentiates E & E brand, values, culture, and services from its competitors. Initiates market research studies and analyzes findings to discover which market segments would procure E&E’s services, and how to best present those services to the selected target market. Understands and anticipates external trends and a broad range of changes in the political, economic, sociological, technological, and regulatory environment, and accurately evaluates their impact on E & E vision, brand, and organizational business drivers. Possesses a sound understanding of competitor strategies and operations, their strengths and weaknesses, and market intelligence, and uses these to inform strategies and plans. Implements and administers marketing database that includes prospect and client information. Manages marketing creative team (collateral, copy/content development), analytics team (CRM, search engine optimization, web/data analytics), and works with corporate communications (brand awareness and expression, public/community/investor/media relations). Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring work activities, e.g., preparation of records of expenditures, progress reports, budget, marketing activity, etc., in order to keep top management informed. Capitalize on own expertise and existing professional relationships to generate new business opportunities. Perform other assigned duties pertaining to forecasting and business marketing intelligence affecting business lines Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related discipline; MBA or Master’s degree preferred. 15+ years of proven marketing experience in the professional services space. 5+ years of leadership/management responsibility for a corporate marketing function.   Solid expertise in all areas of marketing strategy development including B2B customer targeting, brand strategy and management, integrated communications planning, marketing research, brand and corporate partnerships, campaign measurement and optimization, digital and social media strategy and analytics. Experience with enterprise marketing with substantial web and social media presence. Demonstrated experience using and managing a variety of web channels, and monitoring and evaluating the impact of such channels to understand and influence organizational reputation. Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies to translate organizational services and programs into engaging and accessible narrative and other content for a variety of audiences. Ability to flex between creative, strategic and analytical thinking. Demonstrated experience with managing budgets, adhering to budget-conscious practices, and accurately illustrating the return on investment of initiatives and investment. Highly motivated, decisive leader with strong interpersonal communication skills and excellent managerial ability to thrive in an agile, evolving, collaborative, and decentralized working environment. Knowledge of CRM best practices and analytics. Extremely adept at working with leaders across the organization to ensure coordination and consistency, and that marketing priorities are aligned with corporate strategy.
