Sanborn Head is seeking an environmental engineer or hydrogeologist to join our Concord, NH office. Sanborn Head is a vibrant and growing consulting firm specializing in environmental, remediation, energy, geotechnical, and solid waste landfill engineering, as well as hydrogeology and related earth sciences.  We promote training and professional development on interesting and challenging projects, and involvement in professional and business organizations.  We value and support individuals seeking professional licensure. Interested candidates should have 0-3 years of experience and possess a BS or MS Degree in civil or environmental engineering or hydrogeology, with the ability to demonstrate a strong record of academic achievement or professional experience in relevant areas such as contaminated site investigations, remediation, and/or preparation of plans and specifications.  Familiarity with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, databases, and various air/water modeling skills are beneficial.  Excellent verbal communication, analytical, and technical writing skills are essential.  A strong attention to detail is required.   Examples of the position responsibilities include: Perform environmental investigations at sites with soil, groundwater, and soil vapor contamination; Collect, interpret, and analyze various types of field data; Perform environmental due diligence assessments; Conduct groundwater fate and transport calculations and computer modeling exercises; Assist project managers in developing recommendations for environmental strategies, remedial alternatives, and remediation designs; Design, implementation, and O&M of remediation systems; and Prepare technical reports, permit applications, and bid documents.
