We are seeking a motivated Manager of Energy Efficiency Field Operations to join the management team. This department works with residential and commercial customers who want to reduce costs and improve environmental performance through electric and natural gas energy efficiency measures. The Manager of Energy Efficiency Field Operations will lead a team of technical sales and operational staff to achieve energy savings goals and financial targets while delivering high levels of customer and client satisfaction. Critical functions of the Manager are staff coaching, client liaison and operational delivery to service customers. Job Responsibilities Develop and implement operations strategy to optimize the department’s functions and meet our ambitious growth targets. Provide leadership through setting goals, delegating to utilize employee strength, coaching, and fostering teamwork. Manage the team to identify and document energy saving opportunities. Ensure successful implementation and delivery of the technical services for a diverse and changing portfolio of projects. Implement an entrepreneurial approach in order to create and expand opportunities with existing and new clients. We are looking for an Energy Auditor to work with homeowners in various towns throughout Massachusetts who want to reduce costs and improve energy efficiency performance in their homes. The Energy Auditor is responsible for educating homeowners on improving energy efficiency and explaining program offerings available to them. As an Energy Auditor, you will assist with identifying applicable rebates and motivate the homeowners to implement the recommendations. You will calculate estimated savings and produce reports based on the findings of the audit. This is a short-term assignment of approximately 6 months. Job Responsibilities: Energy Audits: Conducts energy audits of existing homes and analyzes data collected. Using software, quantifies savings and produces reports that document the recommendations. Completes the required number of audits. Project Management: Remains up to date on the progress of all deliverables. Works with team to ensure that recommendations comply with appropriate program requirements to qualify for rebates. Enters data generated by assessments accurately into appropriate databases. Relationship Development: Provides excellent customer service by clearly and effectively communicating the results of the energy audit and recommended energy saving measures to customers. Provides light bulbs or other inventory to homes. What You Offer: Must be able to learn building science. Ideal candidates will reside in central Massachusetts. Must have a driver’s license, a good driving record, access to a reliable, insured vehicle, and be able to drive extensively throughout Massachusetts. Must be able to work independently and spend the majority of time in the field. Ability to learn various utility program offerings and analyze usage patterns. Ability to provide excellent customer service and education about improving home energy efficiency.
