This position will be responsible for supporting projects for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Petroleum Restoration Program. This position will be responsible for the design and construction monitoring for environmentally contaminated site remediation, ecological restoration, and a variety of other environmental projects. Our successful candidate will have Engineer-in-Training certification with progression toward Professional Engineering Certification. Experience with design and construction monitoring on civil / environmental projects and 40-hour HAZWOPER training is desirable, but not required. Ecology and Environment, Inc. is seeking an on-call Avian Specialist/Biologist, reporting to our Buffalo, NY office, to support avian surveys in western New York and possibly elsewhere.  This position will be responsible for performing raptor/eagle and breeding bird surveys using a range of bird sampling techniques including visual/auditory identification. Our successful candidate must have a good understanding of avian surveys and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
