Position Description
Barrick Gold Inc. is looking for a Senior Environmental Specialist to join a motivated and high performing team at the closed Nickel Plate Mine near Hedley, BC. This position reports to the Canadian Closed Sites Manager and leads implementation of final closure plans in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner that aligns with Barrick’s overall business strategy and goals. The successful candidate brings a strong background in mining environmental management and a broad range of operational, technical and project experience to the team. Previous work with active water treatment and tailings management is preferred. The role is based at Nickel Plate with some local travel.
