Let’s Move Pittsburgh is a program focused on reducing childhood obesity through healthy eating, increasing physical activity and decreasing screen time to lead children toward a healthier future. Phipps is seeking a full-time Let’s Move Pittsburgh Program Coordinator to coordinate and implement health education programs, special events, and activities held onsite and offsite in schools and community settings. Responsibilities include assisting with programs such as the LMP Champions Program, 5-2-1-0 Program, and culinary programming in Phipps’ Botany Hall Kitchen. The LMP Program Coordinator will interact with program partners, develop educational and promotional materials, and provide research and administrative support. The qualified candidate must possess knowledge necessary to administer healthy eating and healthy living programs with children and be an effective communicator with the ability to work collaboratively. A bachelor’s degree in public health and nutrition, or another health-related field, is required. Experience in all or one of the following is preferred: nutrition, working in or with schools, community development, public health. Evening and weekend work may be required.
