NEIWPCC and the NYSDEC Hudson River Estuary Program are seeking a full-time Assistant Environmental Analyst to assist in better understanding and characterizing water quality in tributaries and supporting communities undergoing source watershed planning for drinking water protection, with a focus on incorporating environmental justice (EJ) considerations into community planning. Incumbent will create a spatial baseline understanding of where EJ communities receive their drinking water from and communicate this information with the EJ communities and municipalities where the source water is located, using online and in-person outreach techniques. The incumbent will work with partner agencies more broadly to support source water planning and protection programs.
