The Senior Management Analyst position is an excellent opportunity for a collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Your Impact Plans, directs, develops, implements, and coordinates the work of various energy programs within the Environmental Programs Division in the Public Works Department. Provides high level analytical support for policies such as development of a Climate Action Plan, review of electricity procurement programs in Irvine, completion and implementation of the Strategic Energy Plan, and coordination with the utilities on incentive programs. Provides regular advice and consultation to Environmental Programs Administrator. Recommends administrative, operational and policy changes for specific programs. Oversees community outreach and presentations for the City at community, inter-departmental, inter-agency and professional meetings as required. Maintains and updates the City environmental programs website. Assists in preparation of division budget; recommends revisions to adopted budget, analyzes and monitors expenditures and receipts. Prepares staff reports, correspondence, memos and contracts, and provides administrative support in guiding these products through the approval process. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Public Administration and six years responsible municipal management experience or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. Best Fit Strong knowledge base of California energy policies and programs. Experience with environmental planning consultants to develop citywide policies and programs. Master's degree preferred in Environmental Policy, Public Policy, Sustainability or related. Proven track record of outstanding customer service, situational awareness, communication and relationship building skills. Ability to foster and develop high performing teams and a positive work environment. Computer literacy with word processing, database, records management, and spreadsheet software applications.
