Job Description An established manufacturing facility/ machine shop in York County has an opening for an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist responsible for assisting with the implementation of site programs to promote safe and healthy working conditions with a focus on environmental compliance, safety concerns, unsafe behavior identification, corrective actions, and safety culture improvement. Offers Flexible Benefits which may include: * Medical * Dental * Vision * Savings and Stock Investment Plan (SSIP) * Life, long-term disability and other insurance products * Reimbursement accounts for child care and out-of-pocket medical expenses * Group legal services Job Summary : * Maintain records and as they pertain to the Environmental Management System * Develop and sustain systems to drive compliance, injury reduction & prevention * Act as key liaison with manufacturing, maintenance & engineering departments * Maintain working knowledge of federal, state and local regulations * Facilitate incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions * Analyze injury and incident data and facilitate focused injury reduction efforts * Monitor and ensure compliance with facility environmental permits * Serve as the facility Alternate Radiation Safety Officer (ARSO) * Drive the location's industrial hygiene program including execution of IH sampling * Develop, review and facilitate Environmental, Health and Safety related training * Select and manage PPE requirements * Perform site compliance sampling and submission to lab for analysis * Serve as a member / coach of various EHS program teams * Participate in continuing professional education Qualifications include : * Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Occupational Health & Safety * 3+ years occupational safety experience in a manufacturing environment Prefer: * Experience with ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 Management Systems. * Broad familiarity with all environmental media (i.e., air, water/wastewater, waste). * Experience with Radiation Safety * Experience implementing Health & Safety programs & Ergonomic assessments * Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication skills and proficient in MS Office Apply now for consideration!
