Situated on a private wildlife reserve, which is also home to 2 of the Big 5 and a remarkable array of plant species, WildComm is a dynamic conservation organisation dedicated to fostering the next generation of conservationists. WildComm empowers individuals to actively engage in impactful research and conservation initiatives, bridging knowledge gaps and cultivating a shared appreciation for the natural world.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct field surveys to document reptile and amphibian species
- Identify and analyze the microhabitats used by different species
- Use camera traps, transects, and active searches to study species diversity
- Assist in data collection and contribute to conservation research
- Gain hands-on experience in handling, measuring, and identifying herpetofauna
Who Should Apply
This opportunity is ideal for students, early-career researchers, and passionate conservationists looking to gain field research experience in herpetology and biodiversity conservation. A background in biology, ecology, or environmental science is beneficial but not required.

Conservation Fee
As you’ll be staying on a wildlife reserve, a portion of your fee will go towards supporting the protection and care of the land and the species that inhabit it.
