Are you a passionate and creative student majoring in Social Media Marketing or a related field? Do you dream of using your skills to make a real impact while surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of South Africa’s wilderness? The Bushveld Biodiversity Research Centre (BBRC) is excited to offer an incredible 2-4month internship opportunity for an enthusiastic student ready to take our social media marketing to the next level. 

About Us: 
The BBRC is located on a 27,000-hectare conservation reserve dedicated to biodiversity research and preservation. Our projects encompass a diverse range of studies, including giraffe population monitoring, bird habitat research, vegetation and plant studies, as well as documenting wildflowers, butterflies, and other insects. We aim to uncover and showcase the reserve’s rich and largely understudied biodiversity.  
The Role: 
This internship is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to create a meaningful impact through marketing while gaining hands-on experience in wildlife conservation. Your role will include:  
- Crafting Engaging Content:Document and share the reserve’s incredible biodiversity and research projects on platforms like Instagram and Facebook.  
- Storytelling: Showcase groundbreaking initiatives, such as our first-ever insect species documentation project and ongoing efforts to study wildflowers and butterflies.  
- Community Engagement: Develop strategies to connect with global audiences, highlighting the importance of conservation.  
- Analytics:Monitor social media performance to optimize reach and engagement.  
- Field Participation:Join research projects in the field, gaining first-hand insights into conservation work.

What We’re Looking For:  
- A student or recent graduate in Social Media Marketing, Digital Marketing, or a related field.  
- Passion for wildlife, storytelling, and making a positive impact.  
- Creative and proactive approach to managing and growing social media platforms.  
- Experience with photography, videography, or graphic design is a plus.  
Program Fees:
A monthly conservation and program fee is required to support your stay and contribute to the vital conservation work of the BBRC. This fee includes:  
- Transportation: Airport pick-up/drop-off, daily reserve drives, and bi-weekly town trips for supplies.  
- Conservation Support: A portion of the fee goes toward protecting the reserve and its species.  
- Accommodation: Comfortable housing during your stay.  
Duration of Stay:  
We recommend a commitment of 2 to 4 months to fully immerse yourself in the experience.
