The Clark Family School of Environment and Sustainability is thrilled to announce that we are now accepting applications for the Spring 2025 and Fall 2025 start dates for our Master in Environmental Management (MEM) program. We invite ambitious and passionate individuals who aspire to shape the future of environmental and sustainability practices to join us.
About the MEM Program: The MEM program offers a rich, place-based educational experience, accommodating both distance and residential students. Courses are delivered synchronously, either in-person or via Zoom, facilitating rich discussions and insightful instruction during the afternoons and evenings.

Spring 2025 start date: 1/13/2025
Fall 2025 (tentative) start date: 8/25/2025
Students can choose from three specialized tracks:
Integrative Public Land Management: Ideal for those interested in public lands management, private land conservation, and environmental advocacy.
Sustainable & Resilient Communities: Tailored for careers in climate action planning, sustainability coordination, and leadership in resilient systems.
Global Sustainability: Geared towards careers in organizations seeking global sustainable solutions, this track is supported by our Peace Corps partnerships.
Project Work: The second year is dedicated to a 600-hour, hands-on project with a stakeholder or organization anywhere globally, supported by elective courses.
Learning Outcomes: Our dedicated faculty are experts in delivering engaging, project-based courses that address real-world community needs. Whether you choose to study amidst the stunning backdrop of the Rocky Mountains in Gunnison or remotely, the MEM program is designed to meet your educational needs. You have the flexibility to complete your studies entirely on campus, mix campus coursework with a global project, or engage in full-time environmental work alongside your studies.
