Summer 2024 Internships: Apply November 1, 2023 - February 15, 2024
SERC is seeking interns to join us for summer 2024! Interns at SERC conduct independent projects over 10 -16 weeks on a wide range of topics including some of the most profound issues challenging our world today, including habitat loss, climate change, and invasive species. Choose from a variety of opportunities including research labs, environmental education, citizen science, and science communications. Our intern alumni have used our professional-training programs as a stepping-stone to pursue a wide range of STEM careers.
Although students will become familiar with much of the research of SERC in general, individuals will devote most of their time to an independent research project. Students will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge in a selected field of study and to learn a variety of research techniques through firsthand experience. At the conclusion of the internship, student participants will be expected to present the findings of their independent projects in a formal seminar to the SERC community.
