Job Description

Responsible for tracking, monitoring, and communicating environmental initiatives and regulations applicable to Xerox products and processes. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and reporting obligations to maintain global market access. 

  • Manage restricted chemical and reportable substances in Xerox products and revise standards and forms accordingly.
  • Manage Xerox RoHS program and global compliance, including exemption reviews and communication of updated standards, forms, and processes to global purchasing and suppliers.
  • Complete REACH Substances of Very High Concern reporting through ECHA SCIP database.
  • Coordinate Conflict Minerals annual supplier review and data collection.
  • Develop supplier letter reporting of findings, write SEC report, review with senior management, issue and file report with SEC.
  • Review company Conflict Minerals policy, monitor new developments and reporting obligations, and propose any required changes.
  • Monitor global developments on Critical Minerals and Rare Earths, including overlap in other standards such as EPEAT.
  • Monitor global eco-design / circular economy legislations (EU Green Deal, Product Passport, EU Green Public Procurement, Eco-design Framework Directive, Extended Producer Responsibility, Eco-Modulation Laws), assess impacts to Xerox, communicate and gather stakeholder feedback.
  • Complete annual reporting to EuroVAprint per Eco-design Framework Directive.
  • Assist in review, monitoring, and reporting of plastics packaging laws.
  • Assist in review and monitoring developments in Corporate Social Reporting Directive.
  • Provide environmental affairs support to global purchasing, customers, suppliers, and EHS&S.
  • Monitor design and waste regulations, such as batteries, packaging & packaging waste, WEEE, and waste shipment.
  • Interface with associations for lobbying / providing feedback on emerging regulations (e.g. Digital Europe, Imaging & Print Europe, Information Technology Industry Council).

Required Skills

  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in engineering/science-related discipline with an environmental focus.
  • Experience working with regulatory and industry standards.
  • Experience working with trade associations and tracking global regulations.
  • Strong at organizing, prioritizing, and driving tasks in defined as well as undefined processes.
  • Project management proficiency.
  • Ability to interact effectively, verbal and written, at all levels internally and externally.
