Job Duties
What You’ll Do:
Responsible for operational management and business development of environmental consulting related projects in Southern California. Priority work areas include the Los Angeles basin, Los Angeles County, and San Diego. Emphasis is placed on leading, developing, and managing industry-leading urban forestry and environmental consulting services. Services include all aspects of urban forestry consulting and management, invasive species management, and ecological consulting.
Qualifications
Education and Qualifications:
An individual must be able to perform each essential job duty consistently and satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Love of the outdoors and the urban forest!
- Minimum four year degree in Biology, Botany, Conservation, Ecology, Environmental Science, Forestry, Horticulture, Hydrology, Soil Science, Zoology or related discipline or equivalent experience in a similar position.
- Master’s degree or advanced education may be required by project.
- Driver’s license and clean driving record are required, a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) may be required by project.
- Minimum 5 years experience in the natural resources field performing ecological consulting, urban forestry or ecological restoration.
- Experience leading projects and teams, building business relationships.
