POSITION: Field Biologist
TYPE: Temporary 6-9 months
POSITION LOCATIONS: Northern California
We are currently looking to add a dynamic Environmental Technician to our passionate team of environmental professionals.
The Environmental Technician will provide our government, utility, commercial and not-for-profit clients with the services and solutions needed to efficiently and effectively manage natural resources, comply with policies and obtain regulatory permits. Job duties include, but are not limited to:

DRG currently has opportunities for field biologists on our Ecological Consulting Services-West team. These opportunities are primarily centered around assessments and monitoring related to post wildfire cleanup. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable training and experience with many species that occur in remote areas.
Must be in excellent physical condition and able to work outdoors with long days.

● Assess sites from wildfires
● Must be willing to work Monday - Saturday
Communicate with landowners regarding work on or near their property
Collect and enter data on handheld devices, follow maps and use GPS navigation
Assess all terrain, habitat, and environmental conditions
Coordinate with project managers, planners, and vegetation crews
Willingness to travel throughout California
● Ability to get along well with peers and supervisors in a field setting
● Experience doing outdoor work
● Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science or related field
● Previous field experience preferred, however, applicable academic experience would be considered
