Position Overview

 

Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc., a Davey company, is seeking an environmental professional with up to 10 years of experience to serve as a Project Manager on the Environmental Assessment and Remediation Team.  

Job Duties

 

Job duties will include preparation of Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments; Site Characterization Reports, Contaminated Material Management Plans; SPCC & ODC Plans; UST & AST Closure Reports, oversight of site-redevelopment and remediation activities; analysis of analytical results and the preparation of summary reports; and coordination with local, federal and state agencies.

Qualifications

 

Experience with hazardous material assessments, site characterizations, and remediation of contaminated media generated during site development projects and linear utility and transportation corridors is preferred.   Strong knowledge of and experience in applying one or more of the following federal or state regulations/standards to project-specific assignments is required: CERCLA, RCRA, TSCA, U.S. Brownfields, EPCRA, Virginia VRP, VSWMR, DEQ Storage Tank Program, and ASTM Standards E-1527-13 & E1903-19.   Experience working with a diverse client base in both the public and private sectors highly desirable, with a willingness to travel regionally. BA/BS in environmental science, geology, hydrogeology, environmental engineering, or closely related discipline required.  Ability to become professionally registered preferred. Professional Geologist, Professional Engineer, or Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM) preferred; Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) a plus.
